Joan Dunlap, owner and operator of Equine Detailing is a rider and a horse enthusiast. She educates herself through clinics, publications, equine educators & health professionals and instructor guidance with the health care, behavioral aspects, group dynamics of horses, and the communication between horses and humans.  Within those modalities, grooming has been one of the most personally rewarding times that Joan has spent with horses.

In addition to conventional & eastern medicine health care, utilizing acupressure during the bathe and grooming regimen has particular benefits to support your horse's physical and emotional well being.  It is through bathe and grooming that Joan follows techniques studied in acupressure to relieve muscle tension, increase blood circulation, stimulate the release of endorphins and provide relaxation for the horse.  Routine grooming is yet another form of equine health care, and plays a vital function to enhance a horse's mental clarity and calm required for focus in training and performance.

Joan's continuing education in acupressure studies is through Tallgrass Animal Acupressure.  Tallgrass's training program offers certification in acupressure and other vibrational modalities for animals.  Tallgrass Publications LLC is based out of Larkspur, Colorado.  Please visit our link page for further information about Tallgrass.
